Seed guardianship workshop in Machetá-Cundinamarca

A seed guardian is a seed producer who recovers, produces, conserves, researches, selects and improves seed in an agroecological context and shares seed in a supportive and responsible manner and helps to dynamize the seed flow process.

The FCMP with the support of the Mayor’s Office of Machetá held a workshop entitled “Native Seed Guardians: Introduction and Barter” on February 22, 2025 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Formative space in this agroecological line where the Seed Guardian, Mrs. Isabel Guevara gave us the basic guidelines to create both at a personal and community level “Native Seed Banks”.
